“Shwe”, pronounced like “shway”, is the Burmese word for “golden”.

Myanmar is where my paternal grandparents (pictured below) are from and home to many magnificent golden pagodas like Shwedagon in Yangon (pictured on the right).

I wanted to acknowledge my heritage while expressing how valuable and beautiful these therapies are.
