Massage
Massage, remedial, relaxation and/or pregnancy, is an underrated therapy, often thought of as a luxury. So many of my clients have found massage to be an essential tool for their wellbeing.
Whether it be for their pain, stress, sleep or emotional health, massage has proved to be incredibly beneficial.
In my time at Maia Mothers, I have (obviously) treated a lot of mothers, in their pregnancy and postpartum.
In pregnancy musculoskeletal pain is a common issue with changing bodies and the addition of relaxin.
In postpartum, reduced sleep, musculoskeletal pain from breastfeeding and even feeling touched out and in need of a touch that is only giving is common.
